Miguel Alexander Barrero Laredo, Founder
With over two decades of experience working with the United Nations, Miguel has specialized in partnership building, disaster risk reduction, and community empowerment. He holds a JD in Law from the University of Vigo, a PhD in Sociology from Pantheon-Sorbonne University, and has completed executive education in Strategic Communications at Columbia University. Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor at IE University, where he directs the IE Policy Lab, focusing on ethics in artificial intelligence, community empowerment, and partnership management. Additionally, he is a SPURS Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where his research centers on AI-driven models for urban and coastal resilience.
